Adult Sunday School
The Adult Sunday School class is presently studying "Growing Older and Wiser" - we know we're getting older but question the wiser part sometimes.
We are now on chapter 8 - "Dealing with Fears" and soon will start
chapter 9 -"Lifelong Trust"- when we will be discussing how important hope is to a per-son's well-being and when has God turned a hopeless situation into a hopeful one for you.
If you are interested in discussing these kind
of ideas, we're the class for you.
The class meets at 10:00 a.m. in the parlor, which is located in the education wing, near the pastor’s office. Everyone is welcome!
Confirmation: Save The Dates
Confirmation for students in 6th grade and above will begin late this summer under the direction of Rev. Karen Fields.
Please save these dates:
Sunday, July 10 Information Meeting Noon
Gather in the parlor (upper level, education wing) for a lunch meeting. Students considering confirmation and their parents or grandparents are invited. Rev. Fields will share information about confirmation that will help students decide if they are ready to begin the process.
August 28 & 29 Opening Retreat
An overnight retreat at the church will mark the beginning of the confirmation season.
January 14-16 or January 15-16 Closing Retreat
The closing retreat will take place this week-end. The schedule and location are yet to be determined.
January 29 Confirmation Banquet
The completion of this part of our confirmands’ faith journey will be celebrated among family members.
January 30 Confirmation Sunday 11:00 a.m.
The whole church will take part in marking the day our students confirm their faith.
