Delilah's Wish

In February, our church will host a performance of “Delilah's Wish” by Metro Theatre Company. We will be one of the sites around the metro area offering this play during its premiere season! Written by Mariah Richardson of St. Louis, the play tells the story of eight-year old Delilah who lives in a North St. Louis neighborhood filled with all kinds of people. Her friend Stanley is always on punishment. As for Roy-Roy and Poochie, well, Gramdma knows. She and Mr. Horowitz have been on this block so long, they know everything. Except who’s taking Mr. Horowitz’s paper every morning and why somebody would set fire to Abu’s store, and when Mama’s coming home from Iraq.
The play promises to be fun and provide excellent opportunities to connect with our community. We’ll create conversation groups for all ages and offer special curriculum to our Sunday School classes.
